Two sculptures, Mt Chomolungma 1.00 and Mt Chomolungma 0.50, with diameters of 1m and 0.5m respectively, based on the topographic map of the highest mountain of the world, in scale 1:10.000. Constructed primarily from around 400 recycled beer cans from Namche Bazaar, tent fabric from high camps, and decorated with Tibetan silk, they are placed on wheels to move the local story around the world.

The mountain models symbolize the magic of feminine and masculine elements coming together: left and right side of the brain working equally, sharpness and softness calibrated. The reflective aluminum is a mirror, just like real mountains reflect people’s character. The act of transforming waste into art shows how love, care and time can turn even what is considered trash into something meaningful and precious.

About 200 people from different countries, Greece, Nepal, Switzerland and CzechRepublic, supported this project with various ways. The final part is the video with the making of and the reply to the question “How you call the highest mountain in the world?” Thought the project maybe the mountain itself will reply, “What is your name?”
